parenting training

You know it all too well – babies don’t come with instruction manuals. It doesn’t matter how many books you’ve read or how much well-intentioned “advice” you’ve received from friends. The simple fact is that parenting is a tough job – probably the toughest.

Just as you’re certain you’ve finally figured it out, your child goes through a developmental spurt or begins behaving differently – or even has a personality change!

Children and adolescents are constantly moving in and out of developmental stages and each of those stages comes with its own unique challenges and conflicts. And when you’re right in the middle of it, these phases can be difficult to recognize and understand.

Parenting training can be a useful tool to help both the child and the parents get through these “growing pains”. Help can be as brief as one 50-minute session, including feedback and new parenting tools, or it can be an on-going process.

The goal is to help provide healthier transitions for children of all ages, from toddlerhood to adolescence. We can also provide feedback and guidance to other adults in your child’s life – like school personnel.
